Tommy Carter
Founder
While still a student at ODU, Carter was capped four times in World Cup Qualifiers in the CONCACAF as a member of the National Team of Bermuda and the U-23 Olympic Team of Bermuda in 1995-2000. Carter also graduated from Academia de Tahuichi in Santa Cruz, Bolivia as the “Best Player” of the Program in 2000. Carter left Bolivia in 2000 and solidified his first professional contract with Luton Town Football Club in the English Second Division. Carter also had spells with Swansea FC, Bristol Rovers FC, and Colchester United FC.
From 2006-2008 Carter was short listed as a candidate for the Assistant Men’s
National Team Coach of the Virgin Islands and led his team through several World
Cup Qualifying games in 2008.
Coach Carter is a USSF certified licensed coach and also holds a master’s degree
from Norfolk State University in Education Administration.
As he continued coaching, Carter observed that many of the players were
lacking necessary technical skills needed to excel in soccer. He believes that
developing these skills early in a child’s soccer training is fundamental to
their success in the game of soccer. It was at that point that he decided to
start his own program, Carter’s Elite Futbol Academy, which is geared toward
developing the technical ability of a soccer player. In addition to having his
own technical academy, Coach Carter continues to do team coaching,
he is currently the Head Coach for VA RUSH ACADEMY, RUSHII 06/07,
2011B NERO, & He is also the CONCACAF REGIONAL MANAGER with Cruyff Football Academy located in
Tarragona, Spain
